Language that cares for early years designated teachers
Walsall's Children's Services are currently reviewing the language they use to describe and communicate with our children and young people. We are ensuring that 'language that cares' is central to our practice. We are doing this by reviewing our systems, policies and documents, listening to and learning from our children/young people and their families and supporting our partners to help them develop language that cares.
In the Virtual School, we are changing the way we write our personal education plans to ensure the language we use to describe and communicate with our children and young people is thoughtful, respectful and clear. We will also be writing to the young person, rather than about them
This training is being delivered by our IRO's, who have successfully transformed the way they write the child's care plan documents.
The training will be delivered in four sessions throughout the day. the first session is
