School Improvement & Pupil Outcomes Team

The School Improvement and Pupil Outcomes Team are responsible for ensuring all our children are making at least expected progress, are in good quality schools and receiving the best possible education. They will do this by tracking and monitoring the attainment and progress of all children, ensuring pupil premium is being used effectively to improve outcomes and work with designated teachers to create a culture of high expectations and aspiration and address any barriers to academic progress and achievement     

Virtual School Deputy Head- Amundeep Bains

Amundeep leads the School Improvement & Pupil Outcomes Team and has a strategic responsibility for improving the attainment and progress of Walsall's children in care aged 2-18. Amun also leads the Primary team  

Early Years Development & Intervention Officer - Jemma Llewellyn

Jemma Leads on improving outcomes for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage.  

Education Advisor for Learning - Debbie Woolfe

Debbie leads on improving the educational outcomes for children and young people in secondary schools 

Post 16 Development Officer- Kirsten Wilson

Kirsten works with schools, colleges and post 16 providers to ensure our young people are in appropriate education, employment or training placements to reduce the number of young people who become NEET 

Education Support Officers

Our Education support Officers work closely with early years settings, schools and post 16 providers to ensure our children and young people are making good educational progress and have the support they need to succeed. Our Education support Officers work with designated teachers, social workers, parents/carers and other local authority teams  and also provide direct interventions with children, delivering individual learning programmes, enrichment activities, therapeutic interventions and Speech and Language assessments .

Rowen Wort is our Primary Education Support Officer 

Molly Taylor & Dalian Poole are our Secondary Education Support Officers 

Shirelle Hansel is our Post 16 Education Support Officer    

SEN Casework Officer

Bethan McGarrie is our SEN Casework Officer is the lead officer for all our children and young people who have an Education Health and Care Plan.   

Senior Mental Health Practitioner

Emma Osborne is our Senior Mental Health Practitioner who works with designated teachers, teachers and support staff to support school placement stability and improve the emotional wellbeing and mental health of our children in care 

 

PEP & Attendance coordinator

Raj Patel is our PEP & Attendance Coordinator and is responsible for the upkeep of our ePEP and attendance systems.
