Introduction to Childhood Trauma and the Brain
This online training is designed for professionals supporting vulnerable children and children in care. It explores the impact of childhood trauma on brain development, emotional wellbeing, and a child's ability to engage with learning. Participants will gain a greater understanding of how traumatic experiences can influence behaviour and relationships, reflect on potential triggers within the school environment, and consider practical ways to create trauma-informed, supportive settings that help children feel safe, regulated, and ready to learn.
