The Aim of Walsall Virtual School
At Walsall Virtual School, we believe that every child and young person deserves the opportunity to achieve, belong and succeed.
Our role is to champion the education, wellbeing and future aspirations of children in care, previously looked after children, children with a social worker, children in kinship care, care leavers and children involved with youth justice. We work alongside schools, early years settings, colleges, families, carers and partner agencies to ensure children receive the right support at the right time, helping them overcome barriers to learning and fulfil their potential.
We are committed to promoting high aspirations, improving educational achievement, supporting emotional wellbeing and creating opportunities that enable children and young people to thrive both in education and in life. Through strong partnerships, evidence-informed practice and early intervention, we seek to improve attendance, educational inclusion, stability, successful transitions and positive destinations into adulthood.
Our vision is for every child and young person we support to experience an education where they feel safe, valued, understood and included. We want every child to develop the confidence, resilience and skills needed to achieve their ambitions, while ensuring their voice is heard and their individual strengths are recognised and celebrated.
